Life Centers & Intergenerational Care

Perspectus is experienced in all phases of intergenerational care, from the technical requirements of patient care to large scale facility planning and the residential needs of residents. The various project types include skilled nursing, rehabilitation, memory care, independent living, assisted living and community centers. Integrating these components with existing campus structures and understanding the importance of the flow of the residents’ daily activities allow us to create successful solutions to meet the changing needs of an aging community.

Studies in resident room amenities and space utilization have served as the basis for enhanced living standards and restorative care facilities. Interior spaces are analyzed and reconfigured to provide shared and private spaces throughout while maintaining the overall integrity of the campus.

Designs often include a “town center” that integrates existing facilities in a communal area comprised of a post office, market, chapel and other residential services. Exterior spaces are developed to meet the needs of both visitors and residents and create a sense of place within the campus as a whole.

Perspectus is currently working with Brookdale Senior Living to meet their goal to provide a complete continuum of care so that residents in need of a higher level of health care can find it on-site. The designs tie into the existing campus providing a seamless connection to the existing buildings. The new nursing facilities will feature private rooms designed with a residential feel.
