New technology, patient-focused care and flexibility for future growth have led to the critical examination of facilities and views of departmental relationships.

Medical center projects often require programming, master planning and phasing concepts to establish realistic goals for the project. We have applied our experience to medical specialty areas including diagnostic and treatment areas, such as radiology, surgery and ambulatory care, as well as public areas where patients and families gather, such as the main street at the VA Medical Center which includes a chapel, shopping and dining.

With master planning experience in every area of the hospital, leadership has been provided in areas including surgery expansion, residential hospice construction, emergency room expansion, maternity department and laboratory renovations, statement of conditions requirements, and medical/surgical nursing unit expansion.

Design services have been provided for inpatient and outpatient facilities to address the changing patient care needs and investigate how the facility can expand to accommodate future growth.
