The Breen Breast Health Pavilion, which opened in June 2011, is located within University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center, the only freestanding cancer hospital in Northeast Ohio and one of 12 in the nation.
With a patient-focused design and spa-like decor, the 14,000 square foot facility features a full range of cutting-edge breast health and cancer services, including survivorship programs and patient education. The pavilion also offers Ohio’s only Tomosynthesis breast screening technology, manufactured by Hologic. In addition to 13 patient exam rooms, the facility houses digital mammography and advanced ultrasound for image-guided biopsy procedures.
The Pavilion triples the hospital's space for breast health services and brings together a multidisciplinary team of highly specialized experts in one central location.
Specifically designed for women, the Pavilion incorporates elements such as consultation rooms with sofas and soft lighting where women can be as comfortable as possible while discussing treatment options with physicians. The finishes include water features, an earth tone color palette with patterned glass, granite and wood accents.
Working in partnership with Architect of Record Ralph Tyler Companies, Perspectus was responsible for Programming, Schematic Design and Design Development. Our firm is also handling technology integration for the ultrasound and stereotactic equipment and construction administration consultation.
