A comprehensive Master Plan was created for the Kent State University Field Hockey Stadium. Phase 1 of the project includes a state-of-the-art synthetic turf field dedicated to the sport of field hockey. The amenities include a new field, team areas, scoreboard, team benches, observation platform and spectator seating.
The field is supported by a complex irrigation system comprised of six water cannons located around the perimeter of the field to maintain proper playing conditions.
The Architect of Record is Wallis Architects, under the leadership of Jim Wallis.
