Harpers Ferry, WV

The Global Borders College is a two-story, 61,000 square foot administrative and training building designed for U.S. Customs and Border Protection and located in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia.

The first floor consists of six training rooms, a computer lab, break-out rooms dedicated to each training room, and a large two-story gathering space. The second floor has an open office plan for administrative purposes.

The project has the flexibility of future growth through the use of a raised floor air distribution system. Sustainable design criteria are included -- geothermal wells, raised floor air distribution and grey-water usage.

The project incorporates sustainable design criteria, including geothermal wells, raised floor air distribution, and grey-water usage. The building is targeting Gold Level certification under the USGBC LEED for New Construction and Major Renovations (LEED-NC) version 2.2.
