Long Term Care Practice

Perspectus Architecture and DSI Architects have formed a strategic partnership focused on long term care and healthcare specializations. The blending of talent within Perspectus and DSI strengthens and expands the range of services — providing strategic planning, code compliancy, facility and interior design and project implementation for clients in Central and Northeast Ohio.

DSI Architects is a Columbus, Ohio-based design studio known as a national leader in life care building design. DSI has planned and designed more than 50 assisted living, independent living and nursing facilities across the country. Regardless of the architectural style or geographic location, the firm’s success stems from the balance of operational efficiency, thoughtful plan organization, sense of scale and craftsmanship details. The firm’s founder, Dimitri Smirniotopoulos, AIA, NCARB, has been an industry design leader for 25 years.

Both firms were founded on the strong belief in service and design, and they share the same values. Our long term care practice builds upon a reputable client list of industry leaders, such as Brookdale Senior Living, American Retirement Corporation, Kingston Healthcare Company, Elmwood Village Communities, Extendicare Healthcare Company, and RoseWood Village Communities.

BrooAlexa Design

With offices in West Virginia and Ohio, BrooAlexa Design Joint Venture provides architectural design, interior design and engineering services for new construction and renovation projects.

Perspectus Architecture launched this joint venture with BrooAlexa LLC, a multifaceted 8(a) company specializing in construction, manufacturing and masonry work.

The joint venture was recognized by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) with the 2011 DHS Small Business Achievement Award for its outstanding work in support of the DHS mission. In particular, BrooAlexa Design was recognized for work performed for United States Customs and Border Protection, Procurement Directorate in Fiscal Year 2010. The notable project is the Dormitory and Conference Center at the Advanced Training Center in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia.

Developers and Construction Firms

Perspectus has had the pleasure of teaming with developers and construction firms on multiple projects — both large and small. We have accumulated decades of experience in development, construction, financing, planning and design, especially for healthcare facilities.

Each team member’s unique and dynamic skill sets combine to create a cohesive, multidisciplinary development team. The firms we partner with shares a common culture of honesty, transparency, commitment and communication — traits that make for a strong team as well as a strong partner for the client.

Perspectus has strong, hands-on experience successfully partnering with various construction firms on Design/Build projects. This delivery method works especially well for government projects. We welcome the opportunity to discuss future developer partnerships and Design/Build projects.
